Updated: Oct 13, 2023

Unsure where to visit Vietnam with your family between January and March?

Chôm Chôm Travel has you covered, and we can offer fantastic recommendations!

1. Mekong Delta

It would be best if you visited the Mekong in January since the weather will be beautiful, and the river level will be at its highest. It is perfect for taking a leisurely boat ride while admiring the clear skies and lush, green surroundings.

The ideal time for outdoor activities is cycling, riding a motorbike, or just walking around under the shade of trees to discover the surrounding nature. Relax and drink your fresh Mekong coconuts as you talk to the friendly locals. If your family enjoys challenging cycling, our Chôm Chôm team will plan a 45 to 90-kilometre route for you to remote places and explore the untamed natural environment.

It is also a beautiful experience to cruise along the Mekong Delta River and watch the sunset in the afternoon.

The floating market is an experience not to be missed while in the Mekong Delta. This distinctive side is only found in the Mekong, where numerous boats congregate to trade in assorted items like fruits, food, and household goods. Eating local breakfast and drinking coffee while sitting on a boat will be a wonderful Vietnamese experience.

2. Phu Quoc

The dry season stretches from November to March and is the finest time to explore the island of Phu Quoc. The dry season will end after March.

Come with your family to relax on the beach, soak up sunshine, and participate in beach activities like kayaking, swimming, and snorkelling in the warm and clear water. It is also the ideal time to watch jellyfish because January will be their most active month.

Visiting Phu Quoc pepper farm is also a great idea when the weather is nice. You can learn from the locals about the various kinds of peppers and how to select suitable ones. You can buy Phu Quoc pepper and other food products as gifts or for yourself. Phu Quoc pepper is especially well-known in Vietnam for its quality. You can join a cooking class and learn to prepare delectable regional cuisine with peppers and enjoy your result. The experience will be delightful and tasty.

It will be fantastic for Chôm Chôm Travel to organise a sailing experience for you in Phu Quoc while the weather is lovely. You can enjoy the cool sea breeze and scenic island landscapes. Nice weather is a blessing to capture the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. This island is regarded as one of Vietnam's most gorgeous spots for viewing sunsets.

As the Vietnamese people travel home, you will sense a significantly different Saigon during the Tet holiday. Drastically less traffic and a more relaxed and cheerful atmosphere.

Chôm Chôm Travel is excited to show you the exceptional Vietnamese tradition of celebrating their main holiday.

4. Hoi An

Located in the middle of Vietnam, where the annual flood season typically lasts from late October to January, it is essential to pick the right time to visit Hoi An to enjoy the ancient town at its best.

The best months to visit Hoi An are February through April, the driest of the year, with low humidity and mild temperatures.

The fine weather is excellent for walking and discovering the ancient and charming town. Our Chôm Chôm guide can show you unique architectural buildings and tell cultural tales along the way.

Located 40 kilometres from Hoi An, My Son Sanctuary is worth visiting. You can have the chance to witness ancient tower temples that were built ten centuries ago.
