Get Lost Under The Coconut Trees In Mekong Delta

Spending a couple of days getting lost in the coconut kingdom of Bến Tre province, known for its lush coconut trees, is the perfect choice if your family is seeking a cosy and relaxing atmosphere. You will cycle to the Mỏ Cày Market and explore the local market. In this area, you will meet the local artisans in their workshops who will share with you the values and techniques that make their cultures rich and charming.

You and your kids will stay in a homestay which is an excellent opportunity for you to dive into the local culture and experience the locals' legendary hospitality firsthand. The homestay has a vast garden with green trees where you can do a little exploring to discover some local tropical fruit trees. A highlight of this could be the swimming pool to ease you from the heat after the walk!

You will also get to enjoy a cycling experience and visit a workshop on coconut processing. During your adventure, your family will have the unique opportunity to discover the vibrant Khmer community, which is one of the 54 ethnic communities in Vietnam, as you explore Trà Vinh in a single day.

Day 1:

Your family will be transferred to the countryside of Bến Tre by private car from Sài Gòn. Your hosts will welcome you, and they will lead you to become coconut experts! You will experience a beautiful immersion in the heart of the Mekong in bamboo huts.

Your family will have local lunch and dinner at the homestay, and they are homemade, of course!

Take advantage of your afternoon to get to know the locals or to share activities with your family: fishing, playground, swimming pool, picking up coconuts...

Day 2:

Your family will start the day in the vibrant colours and magnificent views with many small boats, fishermen swimming in the water with their net or throwing it from their boats.

To embrace the soul of the Mekong, your family will head by boat to the market of Mỏ Cày. You and your kids can experience some local activities, like doing local shopping, talking to the locals and visiting their houses... Everything will be done in the greatest happiness!

Your family will also pass hundreds of coconut workshops at the locals' house and you will stop at one factory to discover how people process everything from the coconut like candies, bowls, chopsticks, and machetes...

Your family will enjoy another local lunch on the Cồn Hô Island and have a free time to relax here before heading back to the homestay in the late afternoon.

Day 3:

There is a saying that witnessing the Khmer pagodas is a must-do if you visit Trà Vinh! There are more than 200 Khmer temples scattered throughout the province, which have been sacred sites for centuries. You cannot help but fall under the spell of Tra Vinh province!

With Chôm Chôm Travel local guide, your family will thoroughly explore the Kompong and Ang Pagodas, they are two of the oldest Khmer pagodas in Tra Vinh province. Interestingly, through the ups and downs of history, the pagoda still preserves many precious ancient objects.

Your family will come to see the Bà Ôm Pond as the last point of your "Get lost under the coconut trees" journey. The pond's surface is clear and blue, with lotus flowers and water lilies. You and your kids will be transferred back to Hồ Chí Minh, Cần Thơ by private car.
